Emotions like fear, anger, disgust, enjoyment, etc are an essential part of who we are as human beings. They fluctuate in intensity as we experience various highs and lows from day to day. Being able to identify and verbalise on the outside what we are feeling in the inside can at times be complicated and confusing especially in the times we are currently living in. Being able to name our feelings, however, is an important part of developing emotional health and improving overall mental health.

Through talking with your counsellor / psychotherapist here at Samway Counselling Services, some of these emotions can be unpacked. To help get you started in naming what you are feeling, here is a helpful list of ‘feeling words’.
